Trea is a Swedish word that translates to a wooded cottage. And that is exactly what Tra is — a warm, pine-scented home nestled in apple orchards on the Naggar-Manali road, twenty minutes from town but a world away from it. Five rooms, each with private balconies that open onto snowcapped peaks.
The two Attic Suites are fully wooded, with dormer windows that frame a hundred-and-eighty-degree view of the Pir Pranjal Range — right from your bed. The three Luxury Rooms are semi-wooded, with the same mountain-facing balconies and the same feeling of waking up inside the Himalayas.
The kitchen garden feeds the table. The menu travels — Indian, Italian, Bhutanese, Continental — but always lands on soulful. Between meals, there are momo-making workshops, Himachali Dhaam dinner experiences, nature walks to trails nobody has mapped, and day trips into the Trans Himalayas.
