At Stone Heritage Mukteshwar, dawn breaks with a luminous embrace, igniting the expansive views that stretch across the rugged terrain. At an altitude of 1,990 metres, the air is invigorating, threaded with the scent of pine that paints your mornings with clarity and purpose. Sunlight bathes each handcrafted room, casting warmth upon furnishings steeped in rich histories, while outside, a landscape unfurls like a novel waiting to be explored.

Nestled within the quiet hills of Mukteshwar, this six-room homestay serves as an intimate portal to a village where time flows steadily, harmonising with a rhythm of life that's both traditional and profound. The house itself carries nearly eighty years of heritage, recently restored by its founder, Akash, with a single conviction: preserve the character of the old home, but make it kind to the modern traveller. Many of the antique pieces and decor elements were gathered slowly during the family's travels across India; several of the wooden furnishings and handcrafted details were made by hand by Akash's father and brother. What began as a family passion project is now open for guests to live inside — a home that still feels like one.
